What is Policy Doctor?

Policy Doctor is an MCP server that lets users query data on legislation and lobbying directly from within their AI tool (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT etc.). It covers EU legislation, case law, and ongoing legislative projects, Finnish legislative projects, as well as EU and Finnish Transparency Register data.

What data can I explore?

You can explore public governmental records made available for AI tools:

EU law: ongoing EU legislative procedures via the EU Law Tracker, EU legislation currently in force, and EU case law (EUR-Lex, English, 2010 onwards) — including how acts cite, amend, and repeal one another
EU Transparency Register: official register portal, including registered lobbying organizations, their meetings with EU officials, what public affairs firm(s) they use, and their declared lobbying budgets
Finnish legislative procedures and lobbying: Government project register (Hankeikkuna), Parliament procedures, press releases from the Prime Minister's Office, President of the Republic, Parliament, and ministries, and the Finnish lobbying register (Avoimuusrekisteri)

Ask things like:

“What's the status of legislative projects relevant for the energy sector?”
“Who have Google and its competitors met with in the Commission?”
“Who lobbies on behalf of Meta and what relevant officials have they not met with?”
“What has happened in the last two weeks in legislative project X, Y, and Z?”

How often is data updated?

Finnish government projects are updated every 15 minutes.

EU legislation and case law (EUR-Lex) are refreshed daily.

EU legislative procedures (EU Law Tracker) and the Finnish and EU transparency registers are refreshed periodically — automatic daily updates are being rolled out.

How do I connect?

Add the Policy Doctor URL to an MCP-capable client such as Claude: https://ai.policydoctor.eu/mcp

Your AI tool such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot can then call Policy Doctor on your behalf

How do I get the best results?

Two habits make the biggest difference:

Be specific. Name an organization, official, or law, and add a date range when it matters.
Keep exploring. Each follow-up builds the assistant's context, so its answers get sharper as the conversation goes.

Are my prompts shared?

No. We only receive the tool calls your assistant makes: the search terms and parameters it sends. Your prompts and conversation are never shared.

Account access, subscription, and billing

A Policy Doctor account and sign-in are required. New accounts include 200 tool calls for the lifetime of the account. This allowance does not renew.

Continued use after the included allowance requires a paid subscription. Individual and team subscriptions are purchased directly from Politiikkatohtori Oy rather than through Microsoft or another app store or marketplace. Team subscriptions can include multiple seats.
